Hindalco Industries Ltd
has appointed Kapil Agrawal as CEO (Designate) – Copper with effect from November 1, 2026, following the recommendation of the nomination and remuneration committee and approval by the board of directors. He will also be designated as a Senior Management Personnel (SMP) from the same date.
The company said Agrawal will take over as CEO – Copper from March 1, 2027, upon the completion of the tenure of current CEO – Copper Rohit Pathak.
Pathak, who is currently CEO – Copper and an SMP of the company, will move to a different role within the Aditya Birla Group. He will cease to be an SMP at the close of business on February 28, 2027.
According to the company, Agrawal has been associated with the Aditya Birla Group for more than three decades and has held leadership positions across its textiles, fashion and retail businesses. His experience spans operations, strategy, supply chain, buying and merchandising, as well as broader business leadership roles.
He previously served as CEO of the Overseas Spinning Business before assuming full P&L responsibility for the Textiles Business in 2023.
Shares of Hindalco Industries closed at ₹1,012, up 0.41%, on June 18.
