Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd. announced on Thursday, November 6, that it has emerged lowest bidder for an order worth over ₹272 crore from Central Railway.
The contract involves the design, supply, testing, and commissioning of traction substations, sectioning posts (SPs), and sub-sectioning posts (SSPs) in a traction system across the Daund–Solapur sections of Central Railway.
The project, aimed at meeting a 3,000 MT loading target, will be executed within 24 months in engineering, procurement, and construction

The company also informed the exchanges that promoters of the company do not have any interest in Central Railway nor does the order fall within related party transactions.
In October, Rail Vikas received three orders. This includes a major infrastructure project worth ₹165.5 crore awarded by the North Eastern Railway, under its normal course of business operations.
