JSW Infrastructure Q3 Results: Net profit up 9% to ₹359 crore on higher cargo, Navkar volumes

JSW Group firm JSW Infrastructure Ltd on Friday (January 16) reported a net profit for Q3 stood at ₹359 crore, up 9.1% from ₹329 crore in the same quarter last year.

Revenue rose 14.2% year-on-year to ₹1,349 crore from ₹1,181 crore. EBITDA increased 10.1% to ₹643 crore from ₹584 crore a year ago, while EBITDA margin declined to 47.6% from 49.5% in the corresponding quarter.

In Q3, the company handled cargo volumes of 31.7 million tonne, up 8% year-on-year, supported by strong performances at South West Port and Dharamtar Port, as well as interim operations at the Tuticorin terminal and the JNPA liquid terminal, partially offset by lower volumes at Paradip Iron Ore and Coal terminals.

Third-party cargo volumes increased 10% to 15.7 million tonnes, representing a 50% share compared to 49% a year ago. Growth in cargo volumes, along with a favourable change in the cargo mix, led to a 9% rise in operational revenue for the port segment to ₹1,164 crore from ₹1,063 crore a year ago, while operational EBITDA increased 7% to ₹611 crore from ₹570 crore.

Navkar Corporation delivered a strong performance, with EXIM cargo volumes rising 19% year-on-year to 85,000 TEUs and domestic cargo volumes up 45% to 405,000 metric tonne. The company maintained a strong balance sheet, with net debt to operating EBITDA (TTM) at 0.76x and cash and cash equivalents of ₹3,455 crore.

For FY2026, the company is targeting consolidated operating revenue of ₹5,400 crore and operating EBITDA of ₹2,600 crore, with EBITDA expected to grow by approximately 15% in FY2027 and nearly double by FY2028, driven by operational momentum, growth projects in the ports business, and the transition of rolling assets from capex to EBITDA contribution within the logistics segment.
