Infrastructure company Patel Engineering Ltd on Monday (June 15) said Maharashtra Krishna Valley Development Corporation has issued a Letter of Award (LoA) to its joint venture for the Tasgaon Lift Irrigation Scheme project in Maharashtra, with a total contract value of ₹126.37 crore, excluding taxes.
Patel Engineering's share in the contract is ₹64.45 crore, representing a 51% stake in the joint venture. The company had earlier informed exchanges on February 23, 2026, that it had emerged as the lowest bidder (L1) for the project. Receipt of the Letter of Award formalises the award and marks the commencement of project execution.
The project involves the construction of an irrigation and water distribution system covering a command area of 2,277 ICA across six villages in Satara Taluka, Maharashtra.

The scope of work includes headworks, pump houses, switchyards, rising mains, delivery chambers, pumping machinery, and related civil, mechanical and electrical works. It also includes a closed pipe distribution network involving excavation, laying and jointing of MS, PCCP and HDPE pipelines.
The project is located across the villages of Tasgaon, Varne, Karandwadi, Devkarwadi, Degaon and Nigadi in Satara Taluka of Satara district, Maharashtra. The irrigation project is scheduled to be completed within 48 months.
The Tasgaon Lift Irrigation Scheme is an irrigation infrastructure project aimed at improving water availability and supporting agricultural development in the region. The project is expected to expand irrigation access across multiple villages, supporting higher agricultural productivity and long-term rural development in Maharashtra.
Shares of Patel Engineering Ltd ended at ₹27.77, up by ₹1.76, or 0.48%, on the BSE.
