The Directorate General of Goods and Services Tax Intelligence (DGGI), Gurugram Zonal Unit, conducted a search at Go Digit General Insurance Limited between February 5 and February 6, the company informed stock exchanges in a regulatory filing.
In a disclosure to BSE and NSE under Regulation 30 of SEBI’s Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements (LODR) Regulations, Go Digit said the search was carried out under Section 70 read with Section 67 of the Central Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017.
The insurer stated that it has not received any official document indicating adverse findings from the authorities so far. However, DGGI has issued summons to company representatives to appear for further questioning and to record statements.
Go Digit said the investigation does not currently have any material impact on its financial position, operations, or other business activities.
The company, which is headquartered in Pune, added that it has taken the matter on record and will continue to cooperate with the authorities.
