The initial public offering (IPO) of ICICI Prudential Asset Management Company (AMC) Ltd closed with a strong subscription on the third and last day of bidding on Tuesday. The mainboard IPO was overall
booked 39.17 times, after witnessing a tepid response from investors on the first two days.
The IPO received bids for over ₹3 lakh crore, becoming the fourth IPO in India to receive such bids.
IPO allotment to eligible shareholders will be done on Wednesday, December 17, as the bidding process has now ended.
Applicants can check their share allotment status online via the websites of the BSE, NSE, and the issue registrar, Kfin Technologies Ltd.
On BSE
- Access the IPO allotment page on the BSE site: https://www.bseindia.com/static/investors/application_statuschecksystem.aspx
- Choose 'Equity' as the issue type
- Select ‘ICICI Prudential Asset Management Company Ltd’ from the dropdown menu under IPO names
- Provide your IPO application number or PAN to proceed

Shares of ICICI Prudential AMC are likely to be credited to the Demat accounts of successful bidders on Thursday, December 18. Refunds for the non-allottees will also be processed on the same day. The company's shares are expected to be listed on the NSE and BSE on Friday, December 19.
The ₹10,602.65-crore book-building IPO, which opened on December 12, attracted bids for over 137.14 crore shares against 3.5 crore shares offered, as per the NSE data. The retail portion of the IPO was booked 2.53 times, while the Qualified Institutional Buyers (QIBs) subscribed their segment 123.87 times. The Non-Institutional Investors (NIIs) booked their quota 22.04 times.
The IPO was entirely an offer-for-sale (OFS) of 4.9 crore shares. As there is no fresh issue component, ICICI Prudential AMC will not receive any proceeds from the IPO and the entire amount raised will go to the selling shareholder.
The lot size for the IPO comprised six shares. Shares were offered in a price band of ₹2,061 to ₹2,165. The retail investors were required to apply for at least a single lot size, amounting to a minimum investment of ₹12,990.
Following the listing, ICICI Prudential AMC will become the fifth asset management company to be listed in India. ICICI Prudential AMC, incorporated in 1993, is a joint venture between the ICICI Group and the British financial services multinational company Prudential Plc. The company is primarily engaged in offering portfolio management services, Alternative Investment Fund (AIF), and advisory services to offshore clients.
