The equity benchmark indices BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty ended largely higher on Monday (August 10) after adjusting for the Corporate Action Session (CAS), with the Nifty ending below the 24,600 mark.
The Nifty adjusted by 24 points, the Sensex by 63 points and the Nifty Bank by 81 points following CAS. After the adjustment, the Sensex rose 43 points to 78,542, while the Nifty gained 13 points to 24,584. The Nifty Bank slipped 60 points to 57,687, while the midcap index rose 392 points to 63,856.

Bharat Forge posted its biggest single-day fall since April 2025 after its quarterly results came in below estimates. Info Edge ended nearly 4% higher, with double-digit growth continuing in the first quarter. Power Finance Corporation (PFC) and REC fell up to 8% following weak first-quarter results.
Among other quarterly-result movers, Entero Health, Electronics Mart and BEML ended higher. BSE ended higher following reports of a likely inclusion in the Nifty 50. CESC ended with minor gains after its ₹4,859 crore acquisition update.
From the Sensex basket, Titan Company Ltd, Tata Consumer Products Ltd, Shriram Finance Ltd, Grasim Industries Ltd, TVS Motor Company Ltd and Tata Steel Ltd were the major gainers.
State Bank of India, NTPC Ltd, ITC Ltd, Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd, Tech Mahindra Ltd and Bharti Airtel Ltd were the biggest laggards.
