Escorts Kubota Ltd has introduced its third-generation ride-on rice transplanters in India, expanding its mechanised paddy equipment line-up as demand for efficient paddy-planting solutions grows across
key agricultural states.
The new KA6 and KA8 models, engineered by Kubota in Japan, will be available across Tamil Nadu, Punjab, Odisha, Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala and Telangana.
The company said the machines are designed to improve planting accuracy and operator comfort, especially in deep, wet field conditions.
The transplanters are equipped with Kubota’s fuel-efficient engines (21 HP and 24 HP), smart turning systems, automatic lift functions and redesigned planting claws aimed at reducing missed planting and ensuring uniform seedling placement. Escorts Kubota said the models also feature wider platforms and ergonomic controls to minimise fatigue during long working hours.
Bharat Madan, Chief Financial Officer and Wholetime Director, said the launch aligns with the company’s push to deepen farm mechanisation.
Rajan Chugh, Chief Officer of the Agri Solutions division, added that the features address labour shortages and real-field challenges faced by paddy farmers.
Ahead of the announcement, shares of Escorts Kubota Ltd closed marginally higher at ₹3,622.60 on the BSE.
