March Auto Sales: VST Tillers Tractors sells 37% less units than last year but stock rises

Shares of VST Tillers Tractors Ltd. gained on Wednesday, April 1, even after its total sales in March declined 37.4% compared to the same period last year.

VST Tillers reported total sales of 4,940 units in March compared to 7,892 units in the same month of the previous fiscal.

Of these, power tiller sales declined to 4,185 units from 7,221 units in the year-ago period.

However, tractor sales increased to 755 units in March from 671 units in the previous year.

Meanwhile, the company's total sales in 2026, so far have increased to 56,243 units from 42,584 units in the previous year.

While power tiller sales this year have risen to 50,332 units from 37,297 units in the previous year, tractor sales rose to 5,911 units in 2026, so far, from 5,287 units in the year-ago period.

Shares of VST Tillers Tractors gained 4.7% at ₹4,950 per share at 9.20 am. The stock has declined 12.3% in the past month and 20% this year, so far.
