Alpha Wave Ventures and its affiliated entities sold 2.95 crore shares of Lenskart Solutions for about ₹1,857 crore in a block deal on Friday, with institutional investors including mutual funds, insurers, pension funds and overseas investors buying the shares at ₹630 apiece.
Alpha Wave Ventures II LP led the sale, offloading 2.03 crore shares across two transactions. Alpha Wave Ventures sold 45.21 lakh shares, while Alpha Wave Ventures LP sold 46.94 lakh shares.
The three entities together sold 2,94,72,670 shares at the same price, according to details of the transactions. The update comes after CNBC-TV18 reported that as many as 2.9 crore shares, or 1.67% equity, of Lenskart Solutions worth ₹1,856.7 crore changed hands in a block deal window on Friday.

ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund bought 60.32 lakh shares, worth about ₹380 crore at the transaction price.
NPS Trust acquired a combined 78.57 lakh shares across three transactions, with the purchases valued at nearly ₹495 crore.
Whiteoak Capital Mutual Fund bought 15.87 lakh shares, while ICICI Prudential Life Insurance and HDFC Standard Life Insurance acquired 14.29 lakh and 12.70 lakh shares, respectively.
Goldman Sachs Bank Europe SE bought 9.86 lakh shares, while Morgan Stanley Asia Singapore acquired nearly 10 lakh shares across two transactions.
Bajaj Life Insurance, Edelweiss Mutual Fund and Motilal Oswal Mutual Fund each purchased about 7.93 lakh shares.
Other buyers included SBI Mutual Fund, Kotak Mahindra Mutual Fund, Nippon India funds, Kuwait Investment Authority, Societe Generale, BofA Securities Europe, Susquehanna Pacific, Redwheel funds, Teachers Retirement System of the State of Illinois and Retail Employees Superannuation Trust.
All the disclosed transactions were executed at ₹630 per share.
The eyewear retailer reported a 270% year-on-year rise in Q1 FY27 net profit to ₹222 crore, while revenue grew 43.3% to ₹2,714.2 crore. India revenue rose 30.7%, while international revenue increased 38%. Lenskart Solutions closed at ₹636.10 on Friday, down 0.70%.
