KEC International Ltd. has received new orders worth ₹1,020 crores across its civil, transportation, transmission & distribution and cables & conductors businesses, the company announced on Tuesday, February 3. The stock, which was up as much as 6% in early trading, has cooled off from those levels.
In an exchange filing, the company said its civil business secured an order for the construction of a Multispeciality Hospital from a "renowned"
healthcare player, and its transportation business bagged a construction order for a railway siding for a private player, both in Central India.
The infrastructure EPC major's transmission & distribution (T&D) business has received multiple orders, including 220 kV and 132 kV cabling works from an Eastern India steel producer, and KEC's US arm bagged a supply order for towers, hardware and poles in the US.
Lastly, KEC's cables & conductors business got orders for the supply of various types of cables and conductors across India and the overseas market.
Vimal Kejriwal, MD & CEO, KEC International Ltd., said the orders have "strengthened" its presence in the hospital segment, calling the railway siding order "a key strategic win" that broadens the company's order book.
"Additionally, our subsidiary, SAE Towers, has secured successive large tower supply orders in the United States, demonstrating continued momentum in the North American T&D market," he said.
According to Kejriwal, these orders strengthen KEC's order book, with its year-to-date order intake standing at about ₹20,300 Cr.
For theDecember quarter, KEC International reported a mixed set of earnings , with a 1.6% year-on-year drop in consolidated net profit of ₹127.5 crore in Q3FY26, from ₹129.6 crore in the same period last year. Revenue, however, rose 12.2% YoY to ₹6,001 crore, compared with ₹5,349 crore a year ago. EBITDA increased 15% YoY to ₹430.3 crore from ₹374.3 crore. EBITDA margin edged up to 7.1% from 7% in the year-ago period,
Shares of KEC International are trading 1.3% higher on Tuesday at ₹622.55. The stock is down 22% over the last one year.
