The index will look to protect 26,000 on the downside in case of any potential dip, while Friday's high of 26,179 becomes the first level to watch on the upside.
While following a Tejas crash, HAL, along with other defence stocks, is trading with major cuts; the It stocks are trading with gains, making up for all the top four stocks on the Nifty 50, which are leading the index in green.
This comes at a time when renewed hopes of a rate cut have rekindled bullish sentiments in the US markets.
