The Indian markets are under immense pressure as the indices extend their losses. The Nifty index is down over 100 points, now falling towards 26,030. The Sensex is down around 300 points, falling below the 85,000 mark.

For Nifty, the fall below 26,030 comes after it defended the 26,100 - 26,150 support zone. Now 26,000 becomes a key mark for the index; on the upside, 26,200 remains a hurdle based on the options data.

As the markets continue to remain under the pump, some of the biggest laggards of the day in the Nifty 500 lot include, Signature Global, Hindustan Zinc, National Aluminium, NMDC, Hindustan Copper, JSL and GMDC among others are trading with cuts.
