Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: Despite a minor recovery, the markets are under major pressure after the recovery was sold into. At the halfway mark, the markets remain under immense pressure.

This midweek session could not be any worse, perhaps, as the Nifty is trading with a major deficit of over 200 points, falling far below the critical 24,000 mark. The Sensex is down, falling over 700 points.

A move below 24,000 will open the doors for further downside on the Nifty towards 23,800 levels, as per analysts.

The Nifty Bank index cannot seem to catch a break, as the index has incurred more losses, falling over 400 points.

Brent crude is now past $95 a barrel, global bond markets are selling off and hostilities have resumed between the US and Iran in West Asia.

Therefore, activity remains stock specific and primary markets remain abuzz. Keep an eye on oil sensitives, Reliance Industries, NMDC, Coal India and other stocks.
