What is the story about?
The National Stock Exchange (NSE) has received approval from the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) for its proposed initial public offering (IPO).
NSE had filed its draft red herring prospectus (DRHP) with SEBI in June for an offer for sale of up to 14.89 crore shares, representing around 6% of its paid-up capital. The issue will be entirely an offer for sale, with the proceeds going to selling shareholders rather than the company.
The proposed issue is estimated at around ₹30,000 crore and could rank among India’s largest IPOs.
