The Nifty Bank has also managed to hit the record high mark, continuing on the positive record-breaking continuum.
The Nifty Bank is up over 11% from September 27 last year, when the Nifty had made its previous top. For today's session, the November 20 high of 26,246 will be the first level to watch, followed by the 26,277 level.
The index has recovered 19% from the tariff tantrum lows of 21,745 that it fell to in April of this year.
Some of the biggest gainers among the Nifty 500 stocks include Gillette, Tata Teleservice (Maharashtra), Reliance Infra, Ashok Leyland, Godrej Agrovet along with others.
