Healthcare provider Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd on Wednesday (August 12) reported a 38.4% year-on-year increase in consolidated net profit to ₹610 crore for the first quarter of FY27, compared with ₹441 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.
Consolidated revenue grew 20.6% year-on-year to ₹7,044 crore, from ₹5,842 crore in Q1 FY26.
Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) increased 28.2% year-on-year to ₹1,092 crore, compared with ₹852 crore a year ago. The EBITDA margin stood at 15.5%, compared with 14.6% in the year-ago quarter.
Apollo Hospitals' net profit was above the CNBC-TV18 poll estimate of ₹553 crore. Revenue also came in ahead of the poll estimate of ₹6,923 crore. EBITDA was higher than the CNBC-TV18 poll estimate of ₹1,038 crore, while the EBITDA margin was ahead of the estimated 15%.

Healthcare Services
Apollo Hospitals' healthcare services revenue grew 22% year-on-year to ₹3,567 crore in Q1 FY27, from ₹2,935 crore in Q1 FY26. Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) rose 20% to ₹862 crore from ₹718 crore, with the EBITDA margin at 24%. Profit after tax (PAT) increased 25% to ₹480 crore from ₹384 crore.
The revenue growth was driven by a robust increase in volumes in clinical specialties and high-complexity clinical work. As of June 30, 2026, Apollo Hospitals had 8,352 operating beds across its network, excluding Apollo Health and Lifestyle Limited (AHLL) and managed beds. Overall occupancy stood at 70%, compared with 65% in Q1 FY26.
The new hospitals with a combined operating capacity of 380 beds in Financial District, Sonarpur, Pune and Delhi Oncology, commissioned in Q4 FY26, along with the Sarjapur facility launched in Q1 FY27, reported a combined EBITDA loss of ₹38 crore in Q1 FY27.
Regional Hospital Performance
In Tamil Nadu, revenue grew 16%, inpatient (IP) volumes increased 13%, and average revenue per patient (ARPP) rose 5% to ₹2,13,309. Overall occupancy stood at 1,404 beds, or 70%, compared with 1,261 beds, or 62%, in Q1 FY26.
In Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, revenue increased 31%, IP volumes rose 25%, and ARPP grew 7% to ₹1,94,605. Occupancy increased to 948 beds, or 67%, from 813 beds, or 63%, a year ago.

Karnataka revenue grew 21%, while IP volumes rose 10% and ARPP increased 12% to ₹1,96,748. Occupancy stood at 578 beds, or 70%, compared with 534 beds, or 69%, in Q1 FY26.
In the Eastern region, revenue increased 20%, IP volumes rose 12%, and ARPP grew 9% to ₹1,58,952. Occupancy stood at 1,460 beds, or 76%, compared with 1,301 beds, or 71%, a year ago.
Western region revenue grew 28%, IP volumes increased 17%, and ARPP rose 10% to ₹1,73,128. Occupancy stood at 543 beds, or 58%, compared with 465 beds, or 52%, in Q1 FY26.
In the Northern region, revenue increased 16%, IP volumes rose 6%, and ARPP grew 10% to ₹1,79,989. Occupancy stood at 895 beds, or 73%, compared with 847 beds, or 70% a year ago.
Apollo Expands Hospital Capacity
Apollo Hospitals launched its 180-bed hospital in Sarjapur, Bengaluru, during Q1 FY27. The Gurugram facility remains on track for commissioning in Q3 FY27.

The company also announced expansion of its existing hospital facilities in Indore and Guwahati by 148 beds and the addition of four new hospitals in Indore, Dwarka, Delhi Proton Centre and Ranchi, together accounting for 1,200 beds.
With these additions, Apollo Hospitals plans to add more than 5,000 beds over the next five years, including 4,700 census beds. The International Patient Services division recorded 26% year-on-year revenue growth during the quarter.
Apollo Health and Lifestyle
Apollo Health and Lifestyle Limited (AHLL) reported revenue of ₹499 crore, up 15% year-on-year from ₹435 crore. EBITDA increased to ₹59 crore from ₹40 crore, with a margin of 12%. PAT loss narrowed to ₹1 crore from a loss of ₹8 crore in Q1 FY26. Diagnostics revenue stood at ₹200 crore, while Spectra revenue was ₹80 crore.
Apollo HealthCo
Apollo HealthCo reported revenue of ₹2,977 crore, up 20% from ₹2,472 crore in Q1 FY26. EBITDA rose to ₹171 crore from ₹94 crore, with the margin at 6%, while PAT increased to ₹101 crore from ₹57 crore.
Offline pharmacy distribution revenue stood at ₹2,629 crore, while digital platform revenue was ₹348 crore. Apollo HealthCo added 151 net new stores during the quarter, taking its network to 7,440 stores.

Apollo 24/7 gross merchandise value (GMV) stood at ₹535 crore, up 23% year-on-year. The average daily order run rate across pharmacy, diagnostics and consultations, including inpatient and outpatient referrals, increased to 70,000 from 64,000 in Q1 FY26.
