The Defence Acquisition Council, chaired by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, gave its administrative approval to projects worth ₹1,10,000 crore for the Indian Army, Air Force and Navy. The council has cleared proposals for helicopters, radars, vehicles, and turbines, among others, and has emphasised indigenous procurement in its decision, stating that off the Acceptance of Necessities (AoN) accorded, 98% will be procured from Indian Industries.
