What is the story about?
When Kolkata’s Biswa Bangla Mela Prangan and Science City Grounds open their gates on October 30, 2025, the city will transform into the epicentre of World’s mining & metal industry. Three events — comprising the Asian Mining Congress (AMC), the International Mining Equipment, Minerals, Machinery Exhibition (IME 2025), and the International Metal Exhibition (ISME 2025) — will be hosted over a span of four days. These events represent India’s largest integrated platform for the Mining and Metals sectors.
Jointly organised by the Mining, Geological & Metallurgical Institute of India (MGMI) and TAFCON – a pioneer in organising B2B International Exhibitions. This biennial confluence has become synonymous with scale, innovation and collaboration. Over the years, AMC+IME+ISME has evolved into a Mega Trade Fair that facilitates global dialogues on how the mining ecosystem can power sustainable, inclusive growth in a resource-hungry world.
India’s Mining Momentum
India is better positioned to lead the next phase of the global mining revolution, standing at a pivotal juncture. Valued for both its economic and strategic importance, the sector contributes roughly 2% to the nation’s GDP and underpins the country’s industrial and infrastructure growth. The IME + ISME 2025 exhibitions, spread across 1.1 lakh square metres, expected to be the most ambitious yet. The scale alone is staggering having “Partner Countries” as “Australia” & “Germany”, “Partner State” as “Gujarat”, and “Focus State” “as” “Assam” with total 700+ stalls, total footfalls of 34,000 industry trade visitors reaffirming event grandeur.

The congress will feature over 100 speakers and 1,000 delegates representing 34 nations, including policymakers, engineers, researchers, and academicians. Discussions will centre on green mining practices, digital transformation, resource efficiency, and ESG-driven frameworks that balance profitability with environmental responsibility.
