IRB Infra arm bags ₹3,087-crore NHAI toll project in Odisha

IRB Infrastructure Trust, an arm of IRB Infrastructure Developers Ltd,said on Tuesday, January 6, it has received a letter of award (LoA) from the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) for a revenue-linked concession toll road project in Odisha.

As part of the deal, the trust will pay an upfront concession fee of ₹3,087 crore to NHAI to secure tolling rights for 20 years.

The project involves tolling, operation, maintenance, and transfer of the Chandikhole–Bhadrak section of National Highway-16,

spanning about 74.5 km, for the toll operate transfer (TOT)-18 bundle.

Shares of the company closed at ₹41.88 apiece, which is 0.88% lower than the day's opening on the BSE.

In November 2025, IRB Infrastructure Trust bagged a ₹9,270 crore NHAI project for the TOT-17 bundle. That project covers a 366.096-km stretch comprising the Lucknow-Ayodhya-Gorakhpur section of NH-27 (km 15.400 to km 137.970 and km 136.759 to km 252.860) and the Lucknow-Sultanpur section of NH-731 (km 90.370 to km 217.795) in Uttar Pradesh.

In the same month, the Mumbai-based highway developer reaffirmed its double-digit toll revenue growth guidance for FY26 and said it remains on track to clock around ₹4,000 crore in revenue from its construction business this year FY26.
