Highway Infrastructure secures ₹328-crore NHAI contract

Highway Infrastructure Limited has secured an order worth ₹328 crore from the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), marking a significant contract win for the company in the highways operations segment.

The order relates to the operation and collection of user fees at the Kaza Fee Plaza on the Chilakaluripet–Vijayawada section of National Highway-16 in Andhra Pradesh. The stretch covers a length of 82.5 km, and the contract has been awarded through a competitive bidding process. As part of the agreement, the company will also be responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of adjacent toilet blocks, including replenishment of consumable items.

According to the company’s regulatory filing, the contract is for a period of one year. Highway Infrastructure entered into the formal contract agreement on January 8, 2026, following the receipt of the letter of acceptance in December 2025. The company is scheduled to take over operations at the fee plaza from January 23, 2026.

The contract has been awarded by a domestic entity, and the company confirmed that neither the promoter nor promoter group has any interest in the awarding authority. The transaction does not fall under related party transactions.

The stock ended lower today, January 8. Shares of Highway Infrastructure Limited closed at ₹58.18 on the NSE, down 3.19%.
