The Nifty bulls would aim for a rebound from Monday's ₹7.5 lakh crore sell-off, which took the index below the 26,000 mark. The fall could have been much worse, barring a small recovery from lower levels towards the close of trade.

The 20-DMA holds the key for the Nifty, which is placed around 26,000, and the index lies only 40 points away from those levels. The index continues to find support between the 25,850 - 25,900 zone, which it also did last week, and that will remain the key support zone. 46 Nifty stocks closed lower on Monday.

The real worry, though, comes from the broader markets as selling pressure was seen across the board, from Real Estate, to Defence, to PSU Banking stocks. 94 stocks on the Midcap index, and 96 on the Smallcap index ended lower. Most of these broader market names are down anywhere between 30% to 50% from the top.

Continue to watch for IndiGo after a seven-day fall that has wiped out $5 billion in market capitalisation. Also the EMS stocks led by Kaynes Tech, which is in the F&O ban but continues to fall. L&T, PhysicsWallah, Fujiyama, and Welspun Corp are some other stocks to keep an eye on going into the NSE weekly expiry session.
