Shares of Ajmera Realty and Infra India Ltd. declined sharply after it reported its third quarter earnings on Thursday, January 29.
The realty firm's net profit, revenue, earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) declined in the third quarter and its margins narrowed as well compared to the same quarter last year.
Ajmera Realty reported a net profit of ₹27.8 crore in the December quarter, down 16% from the previous year.
Its revenue declined 5.8% to ₹181.7 crore from ₹192.8 crore in the third quarter of the previous fiscal.
Its EBITDA was down 12% to ₹55.5 crore from ₹63 crore in the previous year, while margins contracted to 30.5% from 32.7% in the year-ago period.
Earlier this month, the company had reported its provisional business update for the third quarter.
Its sales bookings in the quarter under review increased over two-fold to 603 crore. Its sales volume increased 59% to 2.62 lakh square feet from 1.65 square feet in the previous year.
Shares of Ajmera Realty & Infra are trading 6.1% lower after the earnings announcement at ₹146. The stock is down 23% in the last 12 months.
