Ltd. are trading with gains of 5% on Monday, June 22, after the company announced that it has crossed the milestone of selling 1 million room air conditioners in FY27, achieving the feat within the first 81 days of the financial year and setting a new company record.
The milestone surpasses its previous benchmark of reaching the same mark in 88 days during Q1FY25.
The achievement comes after Voltas sold 2.25 million room air conditioners during the entirety of FY26, underscoring the strong demand environment and the company's leadership in the Indian AC market.
According to the company, robust consumer demand, innovation-led growth, strong execution and a series of strategic initiatives contributed to the record performance. Management said demand remains healthy across markets and expects momentum to continue in the coming months.
Over the past year, Voltas has refreshed its product portfolio with a sharper segmentation strategy, offering differentiated products across premium, mid-range and value categories. The company said this has helped it cater to a wider customer base while strengthening its presence across key price points.
Voltas also stepped up consumer engagement through marketing campaigns, including promotions for its AI-enabled air conditioners, supported by celebrity endorsements. Combined with its extensive distribution and service network, these initiatives have helped strengthen brand preference and drive growth across markets.
Mukundan Menon, Managing Director of Voltas, said crossing the 1 million sales mark within the first three months of the financial year reflects strong consumer trust in the brand and the execution capabilities of its teams and channel partners.

He added that healthy demand trends continue across geographies and customer segments, positioning the company for further growth in the months ahead.
With summer demand remaining strong in several parts of the country, Voltas said it remains focused on meeting India's growing cooling requirements while strengthening its position as the country's leading air-conditioner brand.
Voltas shares ended 0.62% lower on Friday at ₹1,349.20. The stock is down nearly 3% so far this year.
