Ashoka Buildcon's net profit jumps over three-fold; revenue falls 23%

Ashoka Buildcon Ltd on Friday (January 30) reported a sharp surge in profit for the December quarter, aided by exceptional items, even as revenue from operations declined on a year-on-year basis.

Net profit more than tripled year-on-year to ₹2,111.41 crore from ₹654.51 crore, while revenue from operations fell 23% YoY to ₹1,827.33 crore from ₹2,387.89 crore.

The company’s EBITDA surged to ₹2,850.8 crore from ₹677.4 crore during the quarter.

Ashoka Buildcon said it has recognised an exceptional charge of ₹5.23 crore towards past service costs of gratuity and leave encashment following the government’s notification of four Labour Codes in November 2025.

Separately, during the quarter, Ashoka Buildcon and VHL acquired the entire investments held by investors in ACL for a consideration of ₹999.35 crore and ₹550.00 crore, respectively.

The company adjusted an obligation of ₹265.99 crore against the acquisition cost, while the remaining obligation of ₹95.32 crore was credited to the statement of profit and loss and disclosed as an exceptional item. In addition, VHL acquired the entire investment held by investors in JTCL for ₹166.60 crore.

Shares of Ashoka Buildcon Ltd ended higher on Friday, January 30, by 3.72% at ₹149.99 on the NSE.
