State-owned power major NTPC Ltd on Wednesday (December 24) announced the commissioning of the second and final phase of its Solapur Solar PV Project in Maharashtra.
In a regulatory filing, NTPC said the remaining 13 MW capacity of the 23 MW Solapur solar project at NTPC Solapur has been declared commercially operational with effect from December 25, 2025.
With this commissioning, the entire 23 MW capacity of the Solapur Solar PV Project is now operational.

Following the addition, NTPC’s total installed and commercial capacity has risen to 60,796 MW on a standalone basis and 85,623 MW on a group basis, the company said.
NTPC reported a standalone net profit of ₹4,653 crore for the second quarter, up marginally from ₹4,648 crore in the corresponding period last year.
Revenue for the quarter stood at ₹39,166 crore, compared with ₹40,337 crore a year ago. EBITDA increased 3.4% year-on-year to ₹10,019 crore from ₹9,685.9 crore, with margins expanding to 25.6% from 24%.
