Global Health Ltd, which operates Medanta hospitals, on Thursday, November 27, announced a major expansion of its healthcare network in the National Capital Region with the launch of a state-of-the-art 550-bed super speciality hospital in Noida.
The new facility, located in Sector 50, was formally inaugurated by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who lauded the initiative for bringing advanced medical care closer to residents of Noida and western Uttar Pradesh.
Strategically positioned with
direct metro connectivity, the hospital is designed to cater to patients across Delhi-NCR and underserved regions of western UP. The multi-speciality centre will offer comprehensive tertiary and quaternary care across 25+ super specialities, including cardiology, oncology, neurosciences, gastroenterology and orthopaedics.
The facility is equipped with more than 130 ICU beds, 16 operating theatres, and over 200 senior clinicians who have already joined the institution. The hospital is also expected to generate 5,000-7,000 employment opportunities.
Calling the launch a significant milestone, Dr Naresh Trehan, Chairman and Managing Director of Medanta, said, “The inauguration of Medanta Noida is a significant milestone in our mission to deliver world-class, patient-centric healthcare. In continuation with our doctor-led model, this hospital brings the finest medical technology and advanced infrastructure together under one roof, driven by skilled and experienced clinicians.
"With its strategic location and comprehensive capabilities, the facility will play a crucial role in expanding access to quality tertiary and quaternary care for communities across Delhi-NCR and western Uttar Pradesh, embodying the Medanta ethos – ‘Har Ek Jaan Anmol’ (Every Life Is Invaluable),” he added.
Group CEO Pankaj Sahni said the new hospital addresses a critical gap in high-end healthcare in the region. “Today’s launch reflects Medanta’s commitment to strengthening healthcare delivery where the need is growing rapidly. Noida and the larger western UP region have long required high-end, dependable, and accessible medical care — and this state-of-the-art hospital directly addresses that gap. With a strong clinical team, cutting-edge medical technology, and a future-ready infrastructure, Medanta Noida is built to set new benchmarks in patient outcomes and medical excellence for years to come,” he said.
Shares of Global Health ended lower on Thursday, November 27, by 1.21% at ₹1,248 on the NSE.
