Revenue from operations declined 2.4% YoY to ₹839 crore from ₹860 crore, while EBITDA remained flat at ₹73 crore.
The company’s operating margin, however, showed slight improvement at 8.7% versus 8.5% a year ago, indicating stable cost management.
This marks a notable turnaround from the June quarter of FY26 , when BEML had reported a net loss of ₹64 crore — marginally higher than the CNBC-TV18 poll estimate of ₹58 crore.
In the same quarter last year, the PSU had reported a net loss of ₹70.5 crore.
During the June quarter, BEML’s EBITDA loss stood at ₹49 crore, against an expected ₹45 crore loss and ₹50.1 crore loss a year ago.
Revenue for that period remained flat at ₹634 crore, falling short of the anticipated ₹689 crore and down more than 60% sequentially.
