Revenue from operations declined 2.2% year-on-year to ₹1,647 crore from ₹1,684 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal. The company attributed the weaker performance to higher costs and muted demand in some of its key business segments.
Amber Enterprises, which manufactures air conditioners and components for consumer durables and electronics, also noted the impact of seasonality and slower offtake from clients following a strong summer quarter.
The shares of the company ended 0.6% in the green on Thursday. The stock had gained 2.21% in the year so far.
In the first quarter of the current fiscal, the company reported a 44% rise in net profit at ₹104 crore. EBITDA rose 31% to ₹256 crore, while margins declined slightly to 7.4% from 8.2% last year due to pressure across all three business segments.
