Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: With the earnings season on its last lap, and more clarity emerging on the much-awaited India-US trade deal, and some exciting numbers from the likes of SBI, Sensex and Nifty are set to open higher after two straight weekly gains.

Global cues  are bullish too. The Nikkei 225 Index surged as much as 5.7% to a record as a historic election victory by Japan’s Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi buoyed markets.

The Kospi Index is up over 4%. The Dow futures seem set to recoup most of the losses from the three prior sessions, according to Bloomberg data.

Foreign portfolio investors are still mostly short on the Indian market, amounting to 82% of their positions.

Key levels to watch out for on the Nifty 50 would be 59,480 (the 20-day moving average) and 59,441 (the 50-day moving average).

Some of the big names names in focus today include Tata Motors, Bharat Forge, Aurobindo Pharma, and IDBI Bank among others.
