To extend its gains for the third day in a row, the index would bank on the Bihar exit polls, most of which are projecting the incumbent NDA government to return to power.
For the mid-week session, sustaining above Tuesday's high of 25,712 will be key for the Nifty, while it is getting established more clearly that the 25,450 - 25,500 range will remain a strong support for the index in case of any potential downside, as evident from the intraday lows of Monday and Tuesday. The Nifty Bank, which closed above the mark of 58,000 again, is another 450 points away from reclaiming its record high levels.
Earnings, in its final legs this season, will see reactions from stocks like Tata Power, Biocon, BSE, PI Industries, among others. Asian Paints, Tata Steel, Ashok Leyland, HAL, Cochin Shipyard, Nazara Tech, IGL among others are some key stocks reporting results today.
