Cycle Pure Agarbathi maker NR Group has acquired a majority stake in puja accessories brand Satvik, marking a strategic push to deepen its presence in the fast-growing devotional products market. The deal size was not disclosed.
Satvik will continue to operate as an independent brand. The acquisition strengthens NR Group's capabilities in sourcing and manufacturing of worship-related products, particularly hardware products, backed by Satvik's strong artisan and vendor network across North India.
The move also complements Cycle Pure Agarbathi's extensive distribution-network, which spans close to 5,000 distributors and a 1,800-strong sales-team, reaching around nine lakh retail outlets directly and 15 lakh outlets indirectly across the country.
The company plans to leverage this network to scale Satvik's high-velocity products across general trade and modern retail channels.
The partnership combines Cycle's 77-year legacy in incense and spiritual-products with Satvik's strong digital presence, enabling a dual-channel strategy that blends online convenience with deep offline reach.
The company is also sharpening its focus on quick commerce platforms to tap into new-consumer households. While e-commerce remains a small contributor to overall revenue, it is witnessing high triple-digit growth, indicating strong traction.
Satvik's sourcing strength lies in clusters such as Moradabad, Saharanpur, Agra, and Khurja, known for brass, ceramics, wood, and handicrafts, providing a strong supply backbone.
On the operational front, NR Group follows a distributed manufacturing model, with production facilities across East, South, and West India, while fragrance-development remains centralised in Mysuru.
The company continues to manufacture its fragrances in-house, maintaining this as a proprietary capability.

Commenting on demand trends, NR Group Managing Director Arjun Ranga said agarbattis have over 80% penetration in India, with both mass market, daily use products and premium offerings driving growth.
He added that gifting and lifestyle-oriented puja kits are seeing rising traction, particularly among younger consumers.
Ranga also said while there is a perception that younger consumers are less inclined towards traditional practices, demand is shifting towards convenience-led, DIY kits and curated spiritual products.

On the macro front, the company said geopolitical tensions in West Asia had impacted shipments routed through the region to East Africa, although the situation is expected to ease in the coming weeks. Government support has helped mitigate some of the disruptions.
The devotional products market in India remains large but fragmented, with the consumables segment alone estimated at ₹30,000-40,000 crore.
