A German subsidiary of Samvardhana Motherson International Ltd, Motherson Sequencing and Assembly Services Global Group GmbH, has been penalised by Finanzamt Karlsruhe Stadt for delayed payment of VAT and payroll taxes for September 2025.
The taxes, due on October 10, were paid late, prompting the authority to impose a penalty of €56,319 (about ₹57.69 lakh).
The company said the disclosure was delayed as the matter was under review, and clarified that the penalty would have no material impact on its
financials, operations, or ongoing activities.
Q2 Results
Samvardhana Motherson reported its Q2 results on November 13. The company posted a net profit of ₹827 crore for the September quarter, down 6% from ₹880 crore last year, but higher than analyst expectations.
EBITDA rose 6.7% year-on-year to ₹2,611 crore, beating estimates, while the EBITDA margin narrowed slightly to 8.7%.
Revenue for the quarter grew 8.5% to ₹30,173 crore, supported by strong performance in wiring harness, integrated assemblies, and vision systems.
Shares of Samvardhana Motherson International Ltd ended lower on Friday, November 21, by 1.96% at ₹109.85 on the NSE.
