Cyient subsidiary to acquire 65% stake in Kinetic Technologies for $93 million

Domestic technology company Cyient Ltd on Wednesday (December 17) announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Cyient Semiconductors Singapore Pte Ltd, has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire a majority stake exceeding 65% in Kinetic Technologies, a power semiconductor company headquartered in the US. The acquisition, valued at $93 million (approximately ₹772 crore), is expected to be completed by April 30, 2026.

Kinetic Technologies, incorporated in 2006, specialises in analog and mixed-signal

design, delivering high-performance ICs (integrated cicuits) for efficient power delivery and signal conditioning across global markets. The company’s estimated revenue for calendar year 2025 stands at $41 million (₹340 crore), following $37 million (₹307 crore) in 2024 and $63 million (₹522 crore) in 2023.

The acquisition will be completed through cash consideration and does not fall under related party transactions. Cyient said the strategic move aims to drive leadership in custom power ICs for edge AI and high-performance computing markets. No governmental or regulatory approvals are required for the transaction.

"This is to inform that the Board of Directors of the Company, at their meeting held on Wednesday, 17 December 2025, have accorded approval to enter into a definitive agreement to acquire a majority stake exceeding 65%, in Kinetic Technologies through its wholly owned subsidiary, Cyient Semiconductors Singapore Pte. Ltd," according to a stock exchange filing.

Shares of Cyient Ltd ended at ₹1,136, down by ₹13.80, or 1.20%, on the BSE today, December 17.
