The final trading day of the month of November may also see lacklustre trading activity on lower volumes as the action begins from next week, with auto sales, RBI policy and multiple companies with shareholder lock-ins ending.
The Nifty Bank came within 130 points of the 60,000 mark but cooled off from those levels, yet managed a 200-point gain, keeping the Nifty in the green as well by closing. After pausing for a day, the market breadth turned adverse yet again, but only by a small fraction. Broader markets will remain the major focal point today as well. The Nifty needs a close above 26,068 to post a weekly gain.
Watch out for GAIL in today's session after the much-awaited PNGRB transmission tariff revision, along with any follow-up action on block deal stocks, Whirlpool, MTAR Tech, and CarTrade.
