Juniper Green Energy on Thursday said it has commissioned 35 MW of wind power capacity as part of a 150 MW wind-solar hybrid project in Gujarat.
The commissioning was witnessed and confirmed by officials from the Gujarat Energy Development Agency (GEDA) and Paschim Gujarat Vij Company Ltd. (PGVCL), the company said in an exchange filing. The formal commissioning certificate is expected to be issued shortly.
With the addition, the project’s commissioned capacity has reached 175 MWp, against a planned capacity of 190 MWp.
The latest commissioning takes the aggregate operational capacity of Juniper Green Energy and its subsidiaries to about 2,639 MWp, along with around 500 MWh of battery energy storage capacity, as of the date of the filing.
75 MW hybrid project commissioned in Maharashtra
In a separate filing earlier on Thursday, Juniper Green Energy said its wholly owned subsidiary, Juniper Green Spark Ten Pvt Ltd, had fully commissioned a 75 MW wind-solar hybrid project in Maharashtra.
The company commissioned the final 10 MW of wind capacity at the project site on September 9, completing the project. Officials from Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd. (MSEDCL) witnessed and confirmed the commissioning, with the formal certificate expected shortly.
Following the commissioning, Juniper Green Energy’s total operational capacity stood at about 2,604 MWp, along with nearly 500 MWh of battery energy storage capacity.
The company’s shares closed at ₹259 on Thursday, down 0.58%, or ₹1.50, from the previous close.
