MobiKwik Q4 Results: Stock falls 6% even after co swings to profit, EBITDA turns positive

Digital payments company One MobiKwik Systems

Ltd. reported a net profit of ₹4.4 crore for the March quarter, compared to a net loss of ₹56.7 crore in the same period last year.

Revenue for the quarter increased 8% year-on-year to ₹288.7 crore from ₹267.7 crore a year ago.



The company also reported an improvement in operating performance. EBITDA (Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation, and Amortisation) stood at ₹10 crore for the quarter, compared to an EBITDA loss of ₹56.5 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.

EBITDA margin improved to 3.5% from a negative 21% a year earlier.

Despite the improvement in earnings, shares of One MobiKwik Systems were trading 6% lower at ₹213.3 following the results announcement. The stock, however, has gained nearly 17% over the last one month.
