L&T bags three orders worth up to ₹15,000 crore in four days; Stock recovers from lows

Larsen and Toubro Ltd. (L&T) on Monday, December 29, said its transportation infrastructure business vertical won a "significant" order for the Hyderabad Greenfield Radial Road.

L&T classifies orders in the ₹1,000 crore to ₹2,500 crore range as "significant".

This is the third order the company has won in the last four trade sessions, after securing "major" and "significant" orders on December 23 and December 26, respectively.

L&T's latest order is for the second phase of the stretch, wherein a 22.3 kilometer, 3+3 lane access-controlled radial road is being constructed in the Ranga Reddy district.

L&T said its scope of work involves the construction of a 3.6 km-long viaduct,

minor bridges, underpasses and culverts. It also includes construction of service roads on both sides, extensive retention structures, storm water drainage system, footpaths, cycle track and landscaping works.

The company said this is the first of several planned radial roads linking Hyderabad's outer ring road to the upcoming regional ring road. It will improve regional connectivity and support growth, providing better access to IT hubs, Electronic City, the Young India Skills University and the Bharat Future City, it added.

L&T shares were trading flat at ₹4,044.1 apiece around 11.10 am on Monday. The stock has gained 10.3% this year, so far.
