RailTel Corporation of India Ltd.on Tuesday, December 16, said it has won a ₹148.4 crore order from the Office of the Registrar General & Census Commissioner, India for comprehensive IT infrastructure maintenance.
The contract covers annual maintenance contract (AMC) services for servers, storage systems, network equipment and network-security devices, along with licence renewals. It is to be executed by December 21, 2030.
According to the regulatory filing, the company received the formal work order on Monday, December 15, by a domestic entity.
RailTel, a Miniratna PSU under the Ministry of Railways, has been widening its footprint beyond railway telecom into e-governance, data centres and IT infrastructure, and recently secured two contracts in quick succession. A ₹48.78-crore order from the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority and a ₹63.92-crore ICT implementation order from the Central Public Works Department.
The telecom infrastructure firm reported a 4.7% year-on-year increase in net profit at ₹76 crore for the September quarter, compared to ₹73 crore in the same quarter last year. Revenue stood at ₹951.3 crore, up 12.8% from ₹843.5 crore in Q2FY25 and its EBITDA came in at ₹154.4 crore, reflecting a 19.4% growth from ₹129.3 crore in the year-ago period. EBITDA margin improved to 16.2%, compared to 15.3% in Q2FY25.
