Shares of Dhanlaxmi Bank surged nearly 8% on Monday, January 5, as it reported a steady improvement in business momentum for the December quarter, with growth across deposits and advances.
In its third quarter business update, the Kerala-based lender said its total business rose 20.76% year-on-year to ₹31,933 crore as of December 31, 2025.
Total deposits increased 18.39% to ₹17,839 crore from the previous year, supported by a modest pickup in low-cost balances. The bank’s current account savings accounts (CASA) deposits increased 9.04% to ₹5,018 crore during the quarter.
On the lending side, gross advances climbed 23.90% to ₹14,094 crore, indicating stronger credit offtake. Growth was led by the gold loan portfolio, which surged 50.89% to ₹5,361 crore from the previous year, reflecting continued demand in the secured retail segment.
The MSME loan book also increased 27.72% to ₹2,064 crore from the year-ago period, underscoring the bank’s focus on expanding credit to small businesses.
The lender noted that all figures are provisional and subject to review by its statutory auditors.
The lender reported a strong growth in its business for the second quarter ended September 2025, with total business rising 17.5% to ₹30,147 crore. Total deposits increased 17% to ₹17,103 crore, while gross advances grew 18% to ₹13,044 crore.

The stock gained 7.9% to hit an intraday high of ₹26.95 apiece on Monday. The stock was up 5.3% at ₹26.28 apiece around 11 am.
