The Nifty 50 index is back at the mark of 26,000 on the day of its monthly expiry for the October series, and what a series it has turned out to be for the index after months of sluggish, rangebound moves. As of Monday's close, the index is up over 1,300 points for the series. However, the 26,000 mark continues to remain a barrier for the index as despite crossing that level intraday, it could not sustain above it and closed near that mark.

A host of broader market result reactions will be seen today, including those from Indian Oil Corporation, Mazagon Dock, PNB Housing Finance, Sona BLW, JK Tyre, Adani Energy Solutions, Kfin Tech, Indus Towers and many others.

The pace of earnings continues today as well, with newly listed Tata Capital reporting numbers, along with Blue Dart, Cartrade Tech, CAMS, TTK Prestige, TVS Motors, Happiest Minds, CreditAccess Grameen, Adani Green, Adani Total Gas, JSPL, Premier Energies, Shree Cements and others.

The Nifty Bank too did well on Monday, closing above the 58,000 mark and is around 400 points away from its recent record high of 58,577. Watch out for a block deal today in AB Capital, and for Tata Steel, which received its third bullish note in the last five sessions.
