RailTel shares jump nearly 8% after bagging ₹4,550 crore West Central Railway order

Shares of Railtel Corporation of India Ltd rose nearly 8% on Tuesday, February 10, after the company announced that it had secured a ₹4,550 crore order from West Central Railway on Monday.

In an exchange filing, Railtel disclosed that the estimated size of the order as per the Letter of Acceptance (LoA) is ₹4,54,94,74,871, and the contract is to be executed within 960 days, with the execution timeline up to September 24, 2028.

The stock continues its rally for the second session in a row, as it ended Monday's session 2.53% higher at ₹332.20 apiece. As of 10.09 am, shares of the company were trading 7.19% up at ₹356.10.

While Railtel has lost about 4.04% year-to-date, the stock has gained nearly 3% in the past one year.

Q3 results

For the December quarter of FY26, Railtel's net profit fell 4% year-on-year to ₹62.4 crore from ₹65 crore. Its revenue grew 19% to ₹913.4 crore from ₹767.6 crore, while EBITDA rose 10% to ₹133 crore from ₹121 crore.

The

company operates through two main segments - telecom services and project work services. Its total segmental revenue stood at ₹913.45 crore, compared with ₹767 crore in Q3 FY25. Revenue from telecom services was ₹349.5 crore, and project work services contributed ₹564 crore.
