Shares of Cartrade Tech Ltd., Whirlpool of India Ltd. and MTAR Tech Ltd. are in focus on Friday, November 28, after details of the buyers and sellers, of the bulk and block deals that occurred on Thursday, were available on the stock exchanges.
Smallcap World Fund Inc bought 14.4 lakh shares in Cartrade Tech at ₹3,045 apiece.
Those shares were sold by multiple Goldman Sachs funds.
According to official data, Goldman Sachs Global Emerging Market Equity Portfolio sold 3.4 lakh shares, Goldman Sachs India Equity Portfolio sold 4.5 lakh shares and Goldman Sachs Emerging Equity Fund sold 2.7 lakh shares in the company at ₹3,045 apiece, each.
At the end of the September quarter, Goldman Sachs Funds - Goldman Sachs Emerging Markets Equity Portfolio held 1.03% stake in the company and Goldman Sachs Funds - Goldman Sachs India Equity Portfolio held 1.69% stake in the firm.
Shares of CarTrade Tech had ended lower on Thursday after the company had called off talks with regards to a potential acquisition.
A total of 1.5 crore shares, or 11.8% equity of the company, changed hands via block deal on Thursday.
Its promoter Whirlpool Mauritius sold 1.4 crore shares of the company at ₹1,045 apiece. At the end of the September quarter, Whirlpool Mauritius held 51% stake in the company, having sold 24% in a block deal worth nearly ₹5,000 crore in February 2024.
HDFC MF bought 10 lakh shares, Kotak Mahindra MF bought 1.2 lakh shares, Societe Generale bought 8.7 lakh shares and ICICI Prduential Life Insurance bought 7.6 lakh shares in Whirlpool of India for ₹1,041 apiece, each.
Meanwhile, Irage Broking Services net bought 8.3 lakh shares in the company at ₹1,064 apiece.
One of the company's promoters Kavitha Reddy sold 2.4 lakh shares in MTAR Tech at ₹2,444 apiece. At the end of the September quarter, she held 1.6% stake in the company.
Bajaj Finserv MF and Motilal Oswal MF bought 41,000 and 2,000 shares in the company, respectively, at ₹2,444 apiece, each.
Shares of Cartrade tech and Whirlpool of India ended the previous session 3.6% and 11.5% lower, while MTAR Tech shares ended 0.9% up.
