  The Nifty index is down over 70 points, falling below the 25,950 mark. This indicates the pressure under which the markets currently are. The Sensex index is also down over 250 points, falling towards 84,700.

For Nifty, after the recent high, sustaining above 26,000 will be the key for the bulls, who would be pleased that the index closed at the day's high. Furthermore, for the Nifty, which is on a six-day winning streak, 25,850 - 25,900 may now act as support.

In the early hours of the day's trade, big names like ITC, Mphasis, Paytm and Emcure Pharma have seen blocks worth nearly ₹9,000 crore today being executed on the Nifty expiry date.

Some of the biggest losers among the Nifty 500 stocks include Kaynes Tech, One Source, Emcure Pharma, Alembic Pharma, CCL Prodducts, and GMDC among others.
