What is the story about?
Capri Global Capital has announced the launch of Tranche I of its public issue of secured, rated, listed, redeemable non-convertible debentures (NCDs) for up to ₹500 crore.
The tranche comprises a base issue of ₹1,000 million with a green shoe option of ₹400 crore.
The NCDs carry coupon rates of up to 9.50% per annum and have been rated ‘IVR AA/Positive’ by Infomerics Valuation and Rating Limited and ‘ACUITE AA | Stable’ by Acuité Ratings & Research Limited.
The issue will open on Wednesday, April 15 and is scheduled close on Tuesday, April 28, subject to early closure or extension by the company.
The public issue offers multiple tenors ranging from 24 months to 120 months with both monthly and annual interest payout options. The minimum application amount is ₹10,000, and allotment will be made on a first-come, first-served basis, with proportionate allotment in case of oversubscription. The NCDs will be traded in dematerialised form and are proposed to be listed on BSE Limited.
According to the company’s prospectus, at least 75% of the funds raised will be used for onward lending, financing, and repayment of existing borrowings, while the remaining up to 25% may be used for general corporate purposes, in line with SEBI regulations.
Capri Global Capital Limited is a retail-focused, systemically important non-banking financial company (NBFC) listed on BSE and NSE.
Its lending operations include MSME loans, housing loans (via its wholly-owned subsidiary Capri Global Housing Finance Limited), gold loans, and construction finance.
