Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: The Nifty has fallen from the day's high after surging, crossing, and therefore setting a new record high mark of 26,310.85. The index is trading with losses of around 40 points. The Nifty, after a 20% recovery from the April lows, managed to scale a new peak today.

The Sensex index is also on the low, hitting a new record high, as the index is now trading around the 86,000 mark. However, it's now trading low, with a deficit of over 100 points.

Auto sales numbers get reported today and tomorrow, and after the festive bump-up, all eyes will be on whether that demand has been sustained. Bajaj Auto, SML Mahindra, Escorts, Mahindra and Mahindra

, TVS, and Ashok Leyland have reported their numbers for November, so far.

The Nifty Bank hit another record high, surging past the 60,100 mark
