The US subsidiary of HCLTech Ltd is set to lay off about 120 employees at its Orlando, Florida, facility starting May 29.
The job cut was disclosed in a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) notice, dated April 1.
The planned layoffs are part of an operational restructuring linked to a client project wind-down where affected employees are tied to a specific client at the Orlando site, Moneycontrol reported.
The company said the impacted staff may be considered for redeployment within
the firm or across other client accounts based on how their skill sets fit.
The move comes amid a broader recalibration by Indian IT services firms operating in the United States, as companies adjust headcount in response to shifting client demand and increased automation in large outsourcing contracts.
