What is the story about?
The ₹22,569 crore IPO of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) has been fully subscribed on the second day of bidding on Friday, September 18.
Bids were led by the institutional and non-institutional investors. As of 2:45 PM, the portion reserved for Qualified Institutional Bidders was subscribed 1.32 times, while that reserved for Non-Institutional Investors was subscribed 1.33 times the total number of shares on offer.
The portion reserved for retail investors has been subscribed 0.65 times. Retail investors have placed bids for 2.85 crore shares compared to 4.41 crore shares reserved for them. 35% of the total IPO size has been reserved for retail investors
Institutional Investors have placed bids for 3.32 crore shares compared to 2.52 crore shares reserved for them, while NIIs have placed bids for 2.51 crore shares in comparison to 1.89 crore shares reserved for them.
The issue was subscribed 43% when bidding closed on the first day on Thursday. The issue closes for subscription on Monday, September 21.
About The NSE IPO
The NSE IPO is the second largest in Indian history and the largest issue of the year so far. The price band has been fixed between ₹1,700 to ₹1,785 per share.
One lot comprises of eight shares and retail investors will have to make a minimum investment of ₹14,280 for one lot of eight shares and then bid in multiples of eight shares thereafter.
