Sky Gold shares surge 11% as Q3 earnings positive across parameters

Shares of Sky Gold and Diamonds Ltd. rose sharply to 11% on Monday, February 9, after the company reported its third quarter earnings.

The company reported a positive set of earnings across all parameters.

Its net profit increased to ₹80.5 crore in the December quarter from ₹36.5 crore in the previous year.

The company's revenue surged 77% to ₹1,768 crore in the quarter under review from 998 crore in the previous year.

Its earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) increased to ₹123 crore from ₹57 crore in the third quarter of the previous fiscal.

Sky Gold's margin expanded to 7% from 5.7% in the year-ago period.

Sky Gold shares gained 11.4% to hit an intraday high of ₹356.85 apiece.  The stock was up 10.1% at ₹352.65 apiece around 12.12 pm on Monday. The stock has gained 31.2% in the past six months.
