What is the story about?
Multi-brand automotive retail chain Landmark Cars has signed letters of intent (LoIs) with JSW Motors to open five outlets across Ahmedabad and Bhopal, as the automotive retailer looks to expand its original equipment manufacturer (OEM) partnerships ahead of the launch of JSW Motors’ passenger vehicle business.
The outlets will be established through a wholly owned subsidiary of Landmark Cars. The planned network comprises two showrooms and one workshop in South Ahmedabad, and one showroom and one workshop in Bhopal.
JSW Motors, part of the JSW Group, is entering India’s passenger vehicle market as an independent brand, separate from JSW MG Motor India. The company is setting up a manufacturing plant at Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar in Maharashtra to produce new energy vehicles. Sales are expected to begin in the next financial quarter, according to Landmark Cars’ announcement on October 26.
The dealership agreement adds another brand to Landmark Cars’ portfolio, which spans passenger vehicle sales, after-sales services, pre-owned cars and the distribution of financial and insurance products.
For Landmark Cars, the agreement is part of its efforts to expand its OEM relationships and strengthen its presence in existing markets. It has not disclosed the investment required to establish the outlets or the expected revenue contribution from the partnership.
The company operates dealerships for Mercedes-Benz, Honda, Jeep, Volkswagen, BYD, Renault, Mahindra & Mahindra, Kia, MG Motor and Citroën. It also has a commercial vehicle retail business for Ashok Leyland.
The proposed outlets will add to a business that includes new vehicle sales, servicing and repairs, pre-owned passenger vehicles, and the facilitation of third-party financial and insurance products.

The dealership announcement follows a rise in Landmark Cars’ revenue from operations in the September quarter of financial year 2026-27 (FY27).
The company reported consolidated revenue from operations of ₹1,943 crore in the second quarter, up 17.26% from ₹1,657 crore a year earlier. Revenue was also up 12.18% sequentially from ₹1,732 crore in the June quarter.
Vehicle sales, including agency sales and pre-owned vehicle sales, contributed ₹1,662 crore in the September quarter, an increase of 18.46% year on year. Revenue from after-sales services, spare parts and other activities rose 10.63% to ₹281 crore.
For the first half of FY27, revenue from operations increased 19.59% to ₹3,675 crore from ₹3,073 crore in the corresponding period last year.
Landmark Cars said the growth was supported by the ramp-up and stabilisation of outlets. It also reported that flooding in Gujarat during the September quarter affected new vehicle sales and after-sales activities in the impacted regions.
The company said customer enquiries and bookings during the festive season had provided a pipeline for the second half of the financial year, while noting that interest rate movements and broader economic conditions remained factors to watch.
Shares of Landmark Cars were trading at ₹420.60, up 0.62% from its previous close.
